SB 1245 Summary

• Repeals Section 54-1704 and reorganizes pharmacy-related definitions in Section 54-1705, renumbering 70 definition entries to remove gaps and streamline the definitions chapter.

• Removes redundant definitions from Sections 54-1723B, 54-1733B, and 54-1733D by consolidating them into the main definitions section, eliminating duplicative language.

• Clarifies that "drug outlet" includes facilities where employees or personnel engage in pharmacy practice, pharmaceutical care, or dispensing/manufacturing of drugs or devices in or into Idaho.

• Updates cross-references throughout Idaho Code (Sections 54-1762A, 54-4702, and 37-2726) to reflect renumbered definitions, particularly for "opioid antagonist" and "prescription drug or legend drug."

• Becomes effective July 1, 2022, with an emergency declaration to allow immediate implementation.
