Amends Idaho Code Section 33-1002 to create new provisions for calculating support units for kindergarten students enrolled in half-day programs who meet specific conditions.

Half-day kindergarten students counted at full-day equivalent rate must be identified as kindergarten-ready by school district screener and participate in all interim assessments given to full-day students.

School districts must provide parents with interim assessment results and explanations, plus make evidence-based supplementary materials available through the district or state parent resource portal.

Half-day students not proficient on spring Idaho reading indicator must be offered opportunity to enroll in three (3) to five (5) week in-person summer class or online summer school approved and paid for by the district.

Full-day kindergarten participation remains optional; effective date is July 1, 2022, with emergency clause declared.
