Amends Section 34-106 to clarify election dates, specifying the third Tuesday in May and the Tuesday following the first Monday in November as standard election dates, with presidential primaries on the second Tuesday in March in presidential election years.

Modifies Section 34-116 to revise the computation of time for election deadlines, clarifying that if a deadline falls on Sunday, Saturday, or a legal holiday, the act must be completed on the following day.

Repeals Section 34-714 and amends Section 34-715 to consolidate vacancy-filling procedures for political party candidates, requiring vacancies to occur during the ten (10) days after the eighth Friday before a primary election or by September 1 before the general election to be eligible for filling.

Amends Section 34-717 to revise the candidate withdrawal deadline to the eighth Friday before an election, or September 71 for general elections, replacing the previous forty-five (45) day deadline.

Amends Section 34-1707 to require recall election justification statements to be filed on the fifth business day and specifies that candidates appointed to fill vacancies cannot have previously withdrawn unless the vacancy resulted from death.

Effective July 1, 2022.
