House Bill 3 Summary

• Removes the requirement that supervising physicians register with the state board of medicine, eliminating the phrase "registered with the board as set forth in board rule" from the definition of supervising physician.

• Eliminates the requirement that supervising physicians register for physician assistants and graduate physician assistants, simplifying oversight procedures.

• Removes the requirement for the board of medicine to prepare an annual report while maintaining other board duties and responsibilities.

• Makes technical corrections to definitions in Idaho Code sections 54-1803, 54-1806, 54-1807, and 39-4502 related to physicians, physician assistants, and health care providers.

• Declares an emergency and makes the act effective July 1, 2023.
