Amends Section 39-3316, Idaho Code, to add new subsection (20) establishing that in-person visitation rights under subsections (7)(a) and (b) may be subject to health screenings and infection control precautions consistent with those required of staff and facility personnel.

Permits facilities to require visitors to submit to health screenings to prevent spread of infectious diseases and to restrict visitors who fail screening or test positive for infectious disease.

Allows facilities to require visitors to adhere to infection control procedures, including wearing personal protective equipment, and to limit occupancy in rooms pursuant to occupancy laws and normal visitation policies.

Makes technical corrections throughout the statute, including changing "acknowledgement" to "acknowledgment," "which" to "that," and "they" to "the resident" for grammatical consistency.

Declares an emergency and makes the act effective July 1, 2023.
