Allows pelvic examinations on unconscious patients only when the patient or authorized decision-maker gave specific informed consent, the examination is medically necessary for diagnosis or treatment, or the patient is suspected to be a sex crime victim and the exam collects evidence

Subjects health care providers who violate these requirements to professional discipline through their licensing board under Title 54, Idaho Code

Declares an emergency clause making the act effective upon passage and approval
