Governor may issue executive orders and proclamations during disaster emergencies, which must be essential to protect life or property and narrowly tailored without placing unnecessary restrictions on work, family support, or economic contribution.

State of disaster emergency may continue for initial 30 days, then may be extended for one additional 30-day period only if the governor petitions the legislature with reasonable justification.

Legislature may grant an additional 30 days by concurrent resolution or terminate a state of disaster emergency at any time by concurrent resolution.

During disaster emergency, the governor and state agencies cannot impose additional firearm restrictions, suspend concealed weapons licenses, or seize privately owned firearms and ammunition.

Governor may not alter, adjust, or create any provision of the Idaho Code during a state of disaster emergency; act takes effect July 1, 2023.
