City police departments, county sheriffs, and Idaho state police must submit annual reports to the attorney general of drug offenses involving Schedule I-IV controlled substances that were forwarded to county prosecutors for criminal prosecution.

County prosecutors must submit annual reports detailing each drug case, its resolution, and any sentence imposed for Schedule I-IV drug offenses.

The administrative office of the courts must submit annual reports of all drug offense cases under district court jurisdiction, with submission satisfied by providing copies of judgments entered in each case.

County coroners must submit annual reports of all drug-induced deaths related to ingestion, injection, or inhalation of controlled substances, excluding deaths from lawfully administered prescriptions.

The commission of pardons and parole must submit annual reports of offenders released or discharged for drug offenses, with all entities submitting reports by July 20 each year and the attorney general submitting compiled statistical data to the legislature by January 20 each year.

The act becomes effective July 1, 2024.
