Wolf Depredation Control Board must establish procedures and standards for payments from the wolf control fund, with authority to cooperate with federal, state, county, and private agencies.

Board may enter into agreements, contracts, and memoranda of understanding with federal agencies, state agencies, private contractors, and political subdivisions to implement wolf control provisions.

Board shall use historic livestock loss prior to the 1995 wolf reintroduction as a baseline in each wolf depredation unit, as determined by Idaho Department of Agriculture data, to determine compensation levels.

Livestock producers must report actual losses to the board by December 31 each year, with the board determining comparable loss payments based on available funding.

Act becomes effective July 1, 2024, and is declared an emergency measure.
