State of Idaho prohibited from creating or acting as incorporator of corporations, except through general laws enacted by the legislature or for independent public bodies politic and corporate.

Corporations cannot be incorporated to carry out state purposes or to receive and expend state moneys, with exception for independent public bodies politic and corporate created by statute with no private party control.

Corporations incorporated prior to this law's effective date must submit comprehensive reports by January 1, 2025, to the state treasurer including corporate structure, directors, finances, and purpose.

Nonprofit corporations incorporated in violation of the law may voluntarily disassociate from the state by January 1, 2025, by removing state officials and employees from boards and returning all state assets and support.

State treasurer must deliver a list of self-reporting corporations to state leadership by July 1, 2025, with recommendations for reformation; corporations failing to self-report or comply lose recognition under Idaho law.
