House Bill 759 Summary

• Amends Section 33-911, Idaho Code, to revise provisions for the School District Facilities Fund, which distributes state funds to school districts for construction, renovation, and maintenance of school facilities.

• For state fiscal years 2025 and 2026 only, school districts that received bond levy equalization support for bonds passed prior to January 1, 2024, shall receive minimum distributions equal to what they would have received on July 1, 2024.

• For state fiscal year 2026 only, certain school districts shall receive minimum distributions equal to what they would have received on July 1, 2025, from bond levy equalization support.

• Changes the property tax year reference from 2024 to 2023 in subsection (7)(a) for determining qualified bonds.

• Declares an emergency and makes the act effective on and after July 1, 2024.
