Idaho Legislature opposes active reintroduction of grizzly bears within the state, establishment of new experimental populations, support for natural recolonization, and facilitation of connectivity among grizzly bear populations.

Legislature supports the "no action" alternative and continuation of current grizzly bear management practices by Idaho Department of Fish and Game and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

Proposed grizzly bear translocation would include the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness and Selway Bitterroot Wilderness and surrounding communities, posing risks to human safety, private property, and local economic well-being.

Chief Clerk of House of Representatives directed to forward copy of memorial to Governor of Idaho, Idaho Department of Fish and Game, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, President of Senate, Speaker of House, and Idaho congressional delegation.
