Senate Bill 1270 Summary

• Appropriates $1,320,620,800 in total funding for economic development agencies including the Department of Agriculture, Commerce, Finance, Insurance, Labor, Transportation, and various other state entities for fiscal year 2025 (July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025)

• Authorizes specific full-time equivalent (FTE) positions for each agency, with the Idaho Transportation Department authorized for 1,592.00 FTEs and the Department of Labor for 676.58 FTEs

• Reappropriates up to $310,100,000 in unexpended balances from prior year broadband and capital project funds to the Department of Commerce for broadband infrastructure development

• Requires Department of Agriculture to maximize watercraft inspection efforts to prevent zebra and quagga mussel spread, gather data on station bypassing, and report findings to legislative committees
