Senate Bill 1332 Summary

• Appropriates $5,000,700 to the Office of Drug Policy for fiscal year 2025 (July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025) from General Fund ($376,200), State-Directed Opioid Settlement Fund ($100,000), Miscellaneous Revenue Fund ($24,500), and Federal Grant Fund ($4,500,000).

• Limits the Office of Drug Policy to no more than 6.00 full-time equivalent positions during the fiscal year unless specifically authorized by the Governor, with required notification to the Joint Finance-Appropriations Committee.

• Reappropriates up to $775,100 in unexpended and unencumbered funds from the American Rescue Plan Fund for fiscal year 2024 to be used for nonrecurring drug use prevention services during fiscal year 2025.

• Requires funds designated for specific purposes to be used only for those purposes and subjects appropriations to accountability reports and management reviews in accordance with Idaho Code Section 67-702.

• Takes effect on July 1, 2024, with an emergency declaration.
