Public schools must prohibit classroom instruction on sexual orientation or gender identity from kindergarten through grade 3, or instruction that is not age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards

Schools must publish a list of all learning materials, including supplemental materials, required textbooks, and course syllabi, on the school district website by October 1 of each school year

Public schools cannot adopt policies that prohibit personnel from notifying parents about a student's mental, emotional, or physical health or that encourage students to withhold such information from parents

Parents whose rights under this section are violated may file complaints with the school and, if not satisfactorily resolved, pursue private legal action for injunctive relief and damages

The act is declared an emergency and takes effect July 1, 2025
