Public schools must adopt procedures and policies prohibiting classroom instruction on sexual orientation or gender identity from kindergarten through grade 12, or instruction that is not age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate according to state standards

Schools cannot adopt policies that prohibit staff from notifying parents about a student's mental, emotional, or physical health or that encourage students to withhold such information from parents, unless ordered by a court

Parents have the right to access their children's education and health records within 5 school days of request, unless documentation relates to abuse, abandonment, or neglect by that parent

Surveys or screenings regarding a student's sexuality, religion, political beliefs, mental health, or family information require advance parental notice and permission

Effective date is July 1, 2025, with the bill declared an emergency measure
