Recall petitions for city council members elected by district must be signed by registered electors residing within that specific district, equal to 20% of voters registered in the district at the last election

For special district officials (school boards, highway districts, etc.), recall petitions require signatures equal to 50% of electors who voted in the last election within the district, subdistrict, or zone

If no election has been held in a special district within the last 6 years, the signature requirement drops to 20% of currently registered voters in that area

Declared an emergency measure, taking effect immediately upon passage and approval
