Idaho public schools (K-12) and accredited higher education institutions must record the immigration status and nationality of all enrolled students

Immigration status categories include U.S. citizens, permanent residents, non-immigrants (temporary visa holders), undocumented immigrants, refugees, and asylees

School districts and higher education institutions must publish aggregated demographic data annually, including immigration status and nationality information

Data must be reported to the Superintendent of Public Instruction for publication on the State Department of Education website

Declared an emergency measure with an effective date of July 1, 2025
