Adult adoptees (18+) may request their original birth certificate, medical/demographic information from sealed files, and adoption report through a form prescribed by the registrar

Documents are released only after the adoptee completes the voluntary adoption registration process, with a minimum 30-day waiting period if a birth parent match occurs on the registry

During the waiting period, registered birth parents may indicate preferred contact method, request no contact, or request redaction of their name and identifying information for 5 years

After the 5-year redaction period expires, adoptees may submit a new request and the same process applies again
