State Department of Education must establish a free online parent tech awareness program available to all Idaho public and private schools serving K-12 students

Program content covers dangers of internet-connected devices, online threats, how children engage in risky online activity, and best practices for parents to protect students from internet exploitation

School districts and public charter schools must provide program information to parents at the beginning of each school year or upon new student enrollment

Parents and legal guardians must sign and return a state-developed form acknowledging receipt of the program information

Effective date of July 1, 2025, with emergency declaration
