Agreements must specify what information will be shared about the adopted child and birth parent, how often, and by what method; agreements cannot restrict adoptive parents from moving out of state

Violations of agreements cannot be used to set aside an adoption or award monetary damages; agreements may be modified by written consent of both parties or by court order if in the child's best interest

Effective date is July 1, 2025, with the approving court retaining jurisdiction over modification, termination, and enforcement of agreements
