Commercial vehicles weighing 26,001 pounds or more that stop for inspection at Idaho ports of entry cannot be required to undergo another inspection for 72 hours after the initial inspection

Idaho Transportation Department must implement technology and procedures to allow inspected vehicles to lawfully bypass additional inspections during the 72-hour window

Vehicles transporting placardable quantities of hazardous materials (10,000+ pounds) remain required to stop at all ports of entry regardless of prior inspections

Noncommercial vehicles are exempt from mandatory port of entry inspection stops
