Idaho Department of Health and Welfare must submit a Medicaid state plan amendment by July 1, 2026, to provide transition services for juveniles within 30 days of scheduled release from correctional facilities

Covered services include medical, behavioral health, and dental screenings/diagnostics, plus targeted case management with referrals to appropriate care in the juvenile's home geographic region

Services are limited to those required by Section 1902 of the Social Security Act for eligible juveniles and cannot commence before July 1, 2027

Implementation is contingent on legislative appropriation of funds

Declared an emergency measure, taking effect immediately upon passage and approval
