Requires all Idaho public schools and charter schools to develop cardiac emergency response plans (CERPs) beginning in the 2026-2027 school year, incorporating evidence-based standards from the American Heart Association or similar organizations

Mandates AEDs be placed in unlocked, accessible locations on school grounds so they can reach a cardiac arrest victim within 3 minutes of recognition

Requires schools with athletic programs to develop venue-specific CERPs and ensure clearly marked AEDs are accessible at every athletic venue during school-sponsored events and practices

All coaches must obtain and maintain CPR, first aid, and AED certification; other designated staff including school nurses, athletic trainers, and administrators must also be trained

School boards may accept gifts, grants, and donations for AED purchases and maintenance; persons administering the program receive civil liability immunity under existing Idaho Code
