All Idaho public schools must provide a daily moment of silence of at least 60 seconds at or near the beginning of each school day, applying to all grades with participation required from every student

Students may use the silent period to reflect, meditate, pray, or engage in any other silent activity, provided they do not interfere with or distract other students

School personnel are prohibited from instructing students on what type of reflection to engage in during the silence period

Schools must notify parents and legal guardians about the moment of silence policy and encourage them to provide guidance to their children regarding the period

Declared an emergency measure with an effective date of July 1, 2026
