Amends Idaho Code sections 41-5207 and 41-5214 to revise renewal and duration requirements for enhanced short-term health insurance plans

Sets maximum initial duration for enhanced short-term plans at the greater of 12 consecutive months or the maximum allowed under federal regulation 45 CFR 144

Allows renewal of enhanced short-term plans for a maximum total duration of the greater of 36 months or the federal maximum under 45 CFR 144

Removes requirement that state standards must be consistent with federal law on short-term insurance renewability, instead prohibiting standards more restrictive than those established in the bill

Declares an emergency and takes effect July 1, 2026
