Political parties may add additional qualifications for their precinct committeemen beyond the baseline state requirements, as long as those qualifications do not conflict with existing law

Current baseline qualifications remain unchanged: candidates must be at least 18 years old, a U.S. citizen, and a registered voter in the precinct for at least 6 months prior to election

Precinct committeemen are elected every 2 years at primary elections, with terms running from the 8th day after the primary until the 8th day after the next primary

Includes a technical correction changing "the age of eighteen (18) years of age" to "eighteen (18) years of age"

Declared an emergency measure with an effective date of July 1, 2026
