Creates a "trigger" framework to automatically legalize machine gun possession, purchase, sale, transfer, and manufacture in Idaho if federal restrictions under 18 U.S.C. 922(o) are repealed, ruled unconstitutional by the U.S. Supreme Court, permanently enjoined by a federal court, or formally unenforced by the ATF.

Defines "machine gun" as any firearm that shoots more than one shot automatically by a single function of the trigger without manual reloading.

Requires the Attorney General to publish notice within 30 days of determining a trigger event has occurred, with the new provisions becoming operative 30 days after that notice.

Prohibits state agencies, political subdivisions, and employees from using funds, personnel, or resources to enforce invalidated federal machine gun restrictions or from providing material support to federal agencies prosecuting conduct that becomes lawful under this act.

Effective date of July 1, 2026, with an emergency declaration; individuals prohibited from possessing firearms under state or federal law remain prohibited from possessing machine guns.
