Property owners who permit their property to be used as a polling place without charge owe no duty of care to keep the property safe for voters or to warn of dangerous conditions, and cannot be held liable for injuries to persons or property

Installing safety warnings or making safety modifications does not create liability for property owners where none otherwise exists

Tax-exempt properties (religious organizations, charitable organizations, educational institutions) that serve as polling places will not lose their tax-exempt status due to election-related use
