Amends Illinois School Code Section 27-6 to modify physical education exemption requirements for high school students.

Changes marching band program exemption eligibility from grades 9-12 to grades 11-12 only.

Allows school boards to excuse students in grades 11 and 12 from physical education if they participate in an interscholastic athletic program or marching band program.

Maintains existing exemptions for students needing to take required academic courses for college admission or high school graduation.

Preserves exemptions for special education students and students enrolled in Reserve Officer's Training Corps (ROTC) programs in grades 9-12.
