IL HB0625

Amends the Unified Code of Corrections (730 ILCS 5/3-14-2) to add mandatory warrant procedures for parolees and releasees on parole or mandatory supervised release for forcible felonies.

Requires supervising officers to request the Department of Corrections issue a warrant if a parolee or releasee commits first degree murder, a Class X, Class 1, Class 2, or Class 3 felony.

Mandates the Department shall issue the warrant and the supervising officer or Department shall file a violation report with notice of charges with the Prisoner Review Board.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
