IL HB1037

Increases the annual General Assembly appropriation for county bridge construction (bridges 20+ feet) from $15,000,000 to $30,000,000.

Changes the local matching fund requirement from $1 local for every $4 state funds to $1 local for every $9 state funds allocated for approved road district projects.

Funds are apportioned to counties based on the proportion of township and district roads in each county relative to the state total.

Road districts must levy taxes at maximum permitted rates for road, bridge, and bridge construction purposes to be eligible for allocation.
