HB1090 Summary

• Amends the Automatic Telephone Dialers Act to require each autodialer call to state clearly the identity of the business, individual, or entity responsible for initiating the call at the beginning of the prerecorded message

• Maintains existing prohibition on autodialer calls between 9 p.m. and 9 a.m.

• Requires autodialers to disconnect within 30 seconds after call termination, or use a live operator who provides business information and obtains consent before playing prerecorded messages

• Prohibits autodialers from dialing numbers using successively increasing or decreasing integers

• Prohibits autodialers from blocking caller ID display when the solicitor's equipment is capable of displaying the telephone number
