IL HB1445

Amends the Department of Public Health Act, specifically Section 3 concerning appropriations to health departments (20 ILCS 2305/3)

Authorizes the General Assembly to make appropriations to the Department of Public Health for distribution to multiple-county and consolidated health departments for municipality contributions to the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund

Limits distributions to health departments that have no other available funds for pension contributions and have certified their funding needs to each county in the health department

Requires that at least one county in the health department have a county tax rate of 75 cents per $100 of equalized valuation to qualify for state appropriations

Makes a technical grammatical correction to the existing statutory language
