IL HB2420

Amends Section 3-10 of the Property Tax Code to expand disciplinary authority over supervisors of assessments.

County board may now impose disciplinary measures such as reprimand, suspension, or paid administrative leave by majority vote, in addition to dismissal.

Maintains existing requirement that dismissal requires a 2/3 vote of county board members and must be for misfeasance, malfeasance, or nonfeasance.

Preserves supervisor's right to request a hearing within 21 days of dismissal, with county board able to reverse dismissal by majority vote.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
