IL HB2632

Amends the Energy Assistance Act (305 ILCS 20/11) to modify compensation payments to energy providers for participants in the energy assistance program.

Requires compensation to energy providers be paid on behalf of the participant or, if the owner is responsible for providing winter energy, on behalf of the publicly supported housing owner.

Expands the definition of "publicly supported housing" to include housing subsidized or developed with public funds provided under the Rental Housing Support Program Act.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
