IL HB3715

Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code (625 ILCS 5/16-107) to allow chief judges to designate court officers to receive admissions or stipulations from unemancipated minors for petty and business offenses that do not require a court appearance.

Requires the minor's parent or guardian and the minor to appear before the designated court officer, who then transmits the information to the assigned judge.

Permits the judge to enter a disposition of supervision without requiring the minor or parent/guardian to be present in court at the time the disposition is entered.

Applies to violations of specified sections of the Illinois Vehicle Code covering equipment requirements, registration, license violations, and various traffic offenses.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
