Amends the Public Employee Disability Act to expand the definition of "eligible employee" to include any full-time or part-time correctional officer employed by any county.

Eligible county correctional officers injured in the line of duty receive continuing compensation equal to their pre-injury pay for up to one year, without deduction from sick leave, compensatory time, vacation, or pension service credits.

County correctional officers must meet the same violence-related injury requirements as state Department of Corrections employees to qualify for disability benefits under the Act.

Compensation for part-time county correctional officers is calculated based on the percentage of time they were scheduled to work.

The Act takes effect immediately upon becoming law and does not apply to home rule units with a population over 1,000,000.
