IL HB3907

Establishes a Class 1 non-probationable felony for unlawfully purchasing a firearm that is used to commit an act of domestic violence as defined in the Code of Criminal Procedure.

Maintains existing penalties for unlawful firearm purchase: Class 2 felony for one firearm, Class 1 felony for 2-5 firearms within one year, and Class X felony (9-40 years) for 6+ firearms within 2 years.

Prohibits probation, periodic imprisonment, and conditional discharge for violations involving firearms used in domestic violence; offenders must receive minimum imprisonment terms set by law.

Amends the Unified Code of Corrections to add unlawful firearm purchase resulting in domestic violence to the list of offenses ineligible for probation or conditional discharge.
