IL HB4169

Amends Section 5-3-2 of the Unified Code of Corrections regarding presentence reports in felony cases.

Requires sex offender evaluations by Board-approved evaluators for felony sex offenses and sexually motivated felonies when offenders are being considered for probation only.

Excludes sex offender evaluations from presentence investigations when offenders are being considered for any mandatory prison sentence.

Maintains existing requirements for presentence reports to include defendant's criminal history, family background, community resources, victim impact information, and post-arrest conduct.
