IL HB4211

Amends the Department of Veterans Affairs Act by adding Section 2.08 to authorize the Department to make grants to employees of veterans medical facilities for obtaining professional degrees or certifications.

Requires that grant applications be approved by the veterans medical facility where the employee works before the Department may approve them.

Mandates that employees receiving grants must agree to continue employment at their facility for 4 years after successfully completing their degree or certification program.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
