HB4448 - June General Primary

• Moves the general primary election from the first Tuesday in February to the third Tuesday in June in even-numbered years.

• Changes the deadline for judicial retention declarations from the first Monday in December to the third Monday in April before the general election.

• Updates campaign finance reporting requirements to apply to both elections and primaries, with contributions over $500 required to be reported within 2 business days of receipt.

• Changes the moratorium on printing and mailing legislative newsletters and brochures from December 15 through the primary election to May 1 through the primary election.

• Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
