• Requires motor vehicle collision repair facilities to disclose in estimates the possible use of estimating systems (in addition to industry standard flat rate manuals and actual time) when determining labor costs and repair procedures.

• Prohibits repairers from allowing outside parties (such as insurance companies) to influence or mandate the method of estimating labor costs or repair procedures.

• Classifies any knowing violation of the Automotive Collision Repair Act as an unlawful practice under the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act.

• Expands enforcement authority by making all remedies, penalties, and enforcement tools available under the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act applicable to violations of the Automotive Collision Repair Act (removing previous limitations to only knowing, persistent, or pattern violations).
