• Requires Chicago Public Schools to provide daily recess for all students in kindergarten through grade 8
• Recess must be at least 10 minutes in length and occur once in the middle of each morning
• Principals must direct indoor recess when weather is inclement and ensure students have opportunity to engage in physical exercise during recess
• Recess time counts toward the minimum number of hours required for a full school day under state aid formula provisions
