IL HB5150

Amends Section 3-14-2 of the Unified Code of Corrections regarding supervision conditions for parolees and those on mandatory supervised release.

Requires supervising officers to request parole violation warrants in specific circumstances: felonies involving firearms or knives, sex offender registration violations, domestic battery/stalking charges, orders of protection violations, sex offender registration-required offenses, and certain serious felonies (first degree murder, Class X, Class 1, Class 2, or Class 3 felonies) committed by those on parole for forcible felonies.

Mandates supervising officers verify compliance monthly for parolees/releasees convicted of sex offenses as defined in the Sex Offender Management Board Act.

Requires supervising officers to receive specialized training on the needs of female releasees and parolees, including family reunification processes.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
