• Requires school boards that complete nutritional analysis as part of state review, provide meals under nutrient-based menu plans, or use nutritional calculation software to publish school lunch menus with nutrition content including calorie information for each meal item.

• Strongly encourages all other school boards to publish school lunch menus and nutrition content including calories for each meal item.

• Allows school boards to determine the frequency and manner of publication.

• Exempts the state from reimbursing school districts for costs of implementing this requirement under the State Mandates Act.

• Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
