Requires coroners to report deaths to the Office of the State Fire Marshal within 7 days whenever a fire is determined to be a contributing factor in a death, using forms prescribed by the State Fire Marshal.

Amends the Fire Investigation Act to cross-reference the coroner reporting requirement and establish that fire-related death reports must be submitted to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.

Maintains existing coroner duties regarding preliminary death investigations, blood and urine analysis for motor vehicle accidents, and DNA specimen collection for homicides.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
