IL HB6207

Amends the Code of Civil Procedure (735 ILCS 5/9-102) to modify procedures when a forcible entry onto land or a building has been made.

Permits entry and restoration of possession to be made under the supervision of a law enforcement officer or an employee of a private security agency certified under the Private Detective, Private Alarm, Private Security, Fingerprint Vendor and Locksmith Act of 2004.

Allows certified private security employees to participate in property possession restoration procedures, in addition to traditional law enforcement supervision.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
