IL HB6210

Amends the Alcoholism and Other Drug Abuse and Dependency Act to modify eligibility for treatment alternatives under designated programs for individuals charged with or convicted of crimes.

Expands the list of drug-related offenses that disqualify individuals from electing treatment, specifically adding violations of sections 60(b)(3), 60(b)(4), 60(b)(5), and 60(b)(6) of the Methamphetamine Control and Community Protection Act.

Adds a new ineligibility category for individuals otherwise ineligible for probation under Section 70 of the Methamphetamine Control and Community Protection Act.

Maintains existing disqualifications including crimes of violence, certain controlled substance violations, prior program admissions, residential burglary convictions, DUI offenses, and reckless homicide involving alcohol or drug impairment.
