Amends the Property Tax Code Section 10-160 to change the application deadline for open space valuation from January 31 to June 30.

For taxable years prior to 2010, applications for open space valuation must be filed by January 31 of each year.

For taxable year 2010 and thereafter, applications for open space valuation must be filed by June 30 of each year.

Taxpayers who fail to file applications by the applicable deadline waive their right to claim additional open space valuation for that year.

The Act takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
